Lee Sipe
Senior Pastor
Lee was born on May 13, 1964 in Graham, Texas, and felt God’s calling on his life at the age of seventeen. In 1987 he received a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Theology from Hardin-Simmons University, and earned his Masters of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1991. Pastor Lee has been married to Cherry, who is from the Philippines, since 1998.They have 3 children; Gabrielle, Isaac, and Luke. He and his family have been serving at First Baptist Church of Azle since September of 1998. lee@fbcazle.org
Blake Ainsworth
Minister of Music
Blake was born on August 29, 1989 in Shreveport, Louisiana, but has spent the majority of his life in Atlanta, Texas. He felt God calling him to full-time ministry when he was eighteen years old. He received a Bachelor of Music in Church Music from East Texas Baptist University in 2012, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Worship at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He says, “My ministry is to proclaim the glory and power of Jesus Christ through the musical abilities He has blessed me with. My prayer is that Christ will shine through me and lead others to the foot of the cross.” blake@fbcazle.org
Barry Donham
Barry graduated from Hardin-Simmons University and served two tours in Iraq in the U.S. Army. Barry says, “My daily goal is to be a servant-leader, following the example of Christ Jesus. My wife, Dr. Robin Donham, and my two sons, Ryder Christian, age 5 and Court Ross, age 3, are part of my ministry team. We work together, study together, pray together, and play together. Together, we have started ministry teams such as Love in Any Language, a sign-language ministry team, and Love in Action, a Christian drama team. We pray that these ministries grow students and adults into ministry-team leaders in our community, church, and beyond.”Greg Peay
Senior Adult Minister
Greg Peay was born on September 24, 1943 in Abilene, TX. His family moved to Big Spring in 1954 where he attended Temple Baptist Church and surrendered to Christ for “Special Service” in 1960. He attended Howard County Jr. College for two years and Hardin-Simmons University for two years. He and his wife Mary Anne, have been married for 34 years and have a daughter, Britany, who is attending Texas A&M in Commerce. He says “My ministry is designed to equip and transform the lives of Senior Adults.”
